Father and son duo, Steve and Ian Vaughn combined their passions and created Lava Cantina, a live music venue and restaurant in The Colony. The venue can host over 1,000 people for live shows. Steve worked in the music industry for over 40 years, and Ian left his position at Raising Cane’s as the Chief Operating Officer to focus on opening up his dream restaurant. Lava Cantina is a place where everyone is treated like a rock star. They serve Creole Food with a Mexican twist, completely from scratch, and are located in the Grandscape Development along the 22 acre boardwalk. Lava Cantina opened its doors May 4th, 2017.
